AWOL

Excuse my prolonged absence...I have excuses! haha  The whole entire month of July was super duper busy..and I can't believe it's already mid August. YIKES!
Like I said before, the first week of July I spent  in Indiana with friends.  I unfortunately didn't get to see everyone I would have liked to, but I enjoyed my time there and made some memories with the ones I did have the privilege of spending time with.  I got back home on the 11th and had two full weeks of work in front of me along with PACKING!  YAY...we moved AGAIN!ha!  (In the last year we have moved 4 times.  Started in Indiana, went to Illinois, from there to California, back to Illinois, and now to our current residence, which I plan to keep "top secret" hehe.  It's been a wild ride to say the least.  One busy year, and..one busy month.)  Outside of working I was busy packing and preparing for our move.  We left Illinois on the 23rd of July and arrived  on the 24th.  July 26th was our TWO YEAR wedding anniversary which we celebrated with getting our very own first washer and dryer hehehe (we are grown ups now, no more apartment living), we did some shopping for fun stuff for our new place, and we had a nice dinner a couple towns over.

Between traveling, working, my friends wedding, packing, unpacking, running errands, cleaning, painting, luncheons, parties, and just regular old life I feel content that I am finally sitting down and getting back to what I love.
We have been in our new residence for about 3 weeks and have unpacked just about everything.  I painted most of my office, with hubbers helping here and there (thanks!!), we also painted our "non-formal" living room, and I painted one of the restrooms down there.  I have had my fair share of painting for a while I think...we will see how I feel about some of the yellow-ness that was left behind on one of the dining room walls haha.  I am really happy and soo thankful for where we are.  It's a gorgeous place to be, and we are surrounded by lots of great people in our community.  Excited to be able to reflect this time next year to see where things are in our lifes again.  Looking forward to a great school year for both my husband and myself.  Hoping that we get to continue our traveling habits, as we have since we have been together (smiles), and that some of our friends and family will be able to travel here to see us too.

Here's to getting back to blogging, and getting my life in balance again.

The Questions...

Do we choose to let our past define our future?  How do we live for today?  How do we find peace when we are living in fear?  Should we embrace change or run from it?  Those heartaches... how do we heal?  Where do we turn?  Is anyone on our side?  Will we ever survive these trials, these battles, these valleys?  How do we get back up? Questions that everyone will ask themselves at some point in their journey through life.  Who do you run to?  Who do you trust?  Where do you find your hope?  Family, friends, neighbors, preachers, teachers, counselors, social media, alcohol, drugs?  I think we have all fallen and crawled to the path of least resistance only to find ourselves in more despair.  The "easy" way out isn't always so. We must be broken.  We must be shattered.  We must be torn.  We must be shaken.  We must be molded. The only place to find true peace, true love, true happiness, true jo...

my intentions:)

Once again, I am writing in hopes to encourage myself to be a little more intentional about keeping up with this little blog I started 6 years ago.   In my short journey with the twins and G, I have searched the internet for any and all advice, info, reviews, and help in the form of blogs, forums, and videos.  There is plenty of all of that out there, but to my dismay I haven't found a lot of what I have been searching for.  My hopes in writing about our family's experiences and opinions, is that another mom or family with similar dynamics as ours will find it helpful.  I may not attract anyone here, and that's fine too.  I really just want to be able to look back in a few years and be able to smile about the journey.   A few things I hope to blog about are: Postpartum blues Marriage with infant twins and a 3 yr old Breastfeeding Twins Domestic travel with infant twins & 3 yr old International travel with twins & 3 yr old A day in t...
