2 GREAT Days!!

Yesterday was Sunday...it was a gorgeous day outside, my husband and I took Gabriel for a nice long walk.  We ventured in to a couple old abandoned houses and took the liberty of going inside and looking around..probably pretty neat places when they were livable.  Afterwards we took a joy ride on the bike, it has been a while for me, forgot how much I loved it!  I jokingly said that I wanted to learn how to drive it myself, and guess what...I learned!!  It's so typical of him to make things happen :)..he is such a "doer."  It's a good balance, because I don't always make things happen, I am always thinking of obstacles even before the task begins, no matter what it may be.  *^-^* (shameful)  So, I was super excited to finally ride the bike by myself..it was a lot of fun, looking forward to my next lesson when I can go faster :).  A little later, after lunch, he had supervision at school, so we went over and I played some basketball..fun fun!!
Sunday evening we went into the next town over just to get out of the area for a little bit, and I randomly said.."let's go to goodwill"...we never go there, but I saw it and said it..jokingly, but of course..he made it happen :).  We actually found two espresso cups there, which I have been looking for, so that was awesome...we got two of them for ONE WHOLE DOLLAR...can't beat that!! We finally came home and watched the movie "Jumping the Broom," it was decent.  The acting could have been a whole lot better, but HEY...it kept me entertained for a few hours.  We raced back to the redbox at 8:55 to return the movie by 9, and...WE MADE IT!! yay!!

Today was my very first day of Cosmetology school.  Only a few people know I am even going, but I guess now it's kind of out there!  I am super excited, I think it is going to be lots of fun, but also hard work.  The school is an awesome school, and the teacher I have seems really great.  I am trying to be outgoing and make friends with everyone, but there will always be one or two people who just won't like me, and I am ok with that, I just really want this to be a good experience!  I am really looking forward to learning all these new things that I don't know.  I am so happy that I am finally working towards an actual goal now.  We will see where God takes me, but for now I am excited about where I am.

Cheers to TWO days in a row of awesomeness!!

I need to catch up...

So...Independence Day weekend, a very special person in my life came to spend the weekend with me.  We had a party on Sunday the 3rd at  The Aqua , which was a lot of fun.  Monday we drove down to Indiana and I stayed there all week with some friends from my "home town."  Thank you Ashlen and Austin ♥.  I went down in preparation for my sweet friend's wedding on Saturday, July 9th.  I was a bridesmaid in the wedding...and wanted to be there to help set things up with her and her family. So...I plan to write more about my experiences the last few days..but right now I am stressed for time.  So I will post some photos until then.

this time last year..

This time last year my husband, our pup, and I were living in a tiny little truck bed camper in the middle of NO MAN'S land California.  Our energy was powered by a generator that we had to fill with gas every single day, and our heat was powered by propane tanks that were so old we could hardly find a place to get them filled.  Thanksgiving was a cold, gloomy, rainy day and we were stuck inside all day.  We tried to cook food on our tiny stove, but it was by no means a traditional Thanksgiving.  We watched movies almost all day and played with our pup, who was still new to us.  I was so heart broken, I could hardly see straight.  He held me together when I felt like falling to pieces.  I had a lot to be thankful for, I had my health, my husband, I had food, family...you know, all the things we are always used to having.  I was still so sad.  I wanted to spend the holiday cooking, eating, spending time with the people I love, being comfortabl...
